Tag des Tourismus in Berlin

On the evening of 9 November 1989 the Berlin Wall fell. 25 years later Berlin is no longer walled city, but has evolved into a world city. Million visitors have since made their way to the German capital to witness this change. VisitBerlin.de takes this opportunity, on November 3, on the day of tourism under the title “Berlin. 25 years later. A snapshot.” On the tourism development of Berlin to look back, but also to look into the future of the capital of Germany.

Tag des Tourismus 2014 in Berlin (The Day of Tourism) welcomes following personalities: Wolfgang Gattringer – a partner of Fairmas – Gesellschaft GmbH, Torsten Sabel – co-founder of Customer Alliance, Willy Weiland – president of the DEHOGA Berlin, Christian Andresen – Managing Director of The Mandala Hotel and the founders of three Berlin-based start-ups: Johannes Reck (GetYourGuide), Naren Shaam (GoEuro), Felix Swoboda (Mobile Event Guide). The event is going to be opened by Hans-Georg Kauert – Head of Business of the Senate Department for Economics, Technology and Research in Berlin and the Managing Director of Visitberlin – Burkhard Kieker.
