For the past 15 years, I have developed courses in MICE management and taught that subject in a number of universities in the UK and overseas

Senior Lecturer

Specialist MICE education programmes in universities worldwide are growing steadily, as educators are beginning to understand the importance of our industry as a source of exciting and gainful careers for their students.

My principal employers were two outstanding London universities, and I would highly recommend them to anyone who want to study – or teach – subjects relevant to the MICE industry. At the University of Greenwich, with my colleague Nick Wilde, I developed an undergraduate course in Events Venue Management. And at the University of Westminster, I developed a Masters course in Events and Conference Management.

I continue to work as a Visiting Professor, teaching MICE management on a regular basis in these universities. This gives me the opportunity to inspire and educate the next generation of MICE professionals, and that is a both a pleasure and a privilege for me.
